Information Security Specialist

The ISS is responsible for performing an Independent Verification and Validation review (IV&V) on an IT Contingency Plan for the Division of Unemployment Insurance. T


Years of Experience: 5 plus year

Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study


Complete Description

- Ensure that the final UI IT Contingency Plan includes the 17 points required by per grant requirements.

- Provide thorough IV&V of the final UI IT Contingency Plan with complete documentation.

- Complete associated tasks per grant requirements.

- Identify and track issues, risks, and action items.

- Document information security policies, standards, and procedures as related to the IV&V of the UI IT Contingency Plan.

- Document computer security and emergency measures policies, procedures, and tests as related to the UI IT Contingency Plan assessment.

- Takes direction in completing tasks from LWD Project Manager.

- Complete two table top exercises to obtain lessons learned and incorporate those lessons into the final plan revision.

- Optionally complete a third table top exercise if justified by results of the first two table top exercises.

- Deliver a fully reviewed UI IT Contingency Plan which is compliant with both NIST standards and the grant provider's guidelines.

Required Skill

5+ Years of experience required in :
. Familiarity with Contingency Planning
. Familiarity with IST Guidelines for Contingency Planning

Desired Skill

. General Familiarity with Unemployment Benefits Systems highly desired.
