DB Developer/EDI Analyst

This is a multi-function position requiring EDI Analyst skills and Database Developer skills with healthcare industry experience. This position is required to work with Healthcare Vendors and End Users to create business process flows related to databases. The consultant will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the database for a practice management system which will include multiple components like vaccine reconciliation, financial reporting system with the integration of HIPPA 837/835, 276/277, HL7.

This position requires experience with EDI in healthcare industry. Ability to generate and present reports in an organized manner is a must for this position. Previous experience using ETL technologies like SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and other BI tools is a plus. Position involves writing extensive documentation for technical and non-technical users.

Qualifications:

- Minimum 5 years of hands on experience as a database developer.

- Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and 2008.

- Expert in designing, coding, debugging and maintaining database schemas and stored procedures.

- Expertise in HIPPA 837/835 and HL7.

- Experience using ETL technologies like SSIS, SSRS & SSAS.

- .Net experience is a plus but not required.

- Experience using Orion Rhapsody is a plus.

- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills.

- Experience documenting new and existing processes.

- BS degree in computer science or other related degree.

5+ Years of experience required in the following:
.Database Development
.Database Schemas & Stored Procedures
.MS SQL Server 2005/2008
.HIPPA 837/835 and HL7

- 4+ Years of experience as Business Analyst.

- 2+ Years of experience in Healthcare EDI (recent) required.

- Experience in Orion Rhapsody highly preferred.

- Excellent Communication Skills
